Shades of Pink began with a friendship neither of us saw coming.

Alice Lovell and I were introduced by our oncologist, Dr. Saeed, who had a feeling we'd get along. He was right. Despite having very different lives and experiences, we connected through something neither of us had ever expected to face: breast cancer.

Honest, sometimes emotional and often surprisingly funny conversations

In just one lunch, we realized how different every woman's experience of breast cancer can be. Different diagnoses, different treatments, different circumstances and different ways of navigating everything that comes with it.

That became the idea behind Shades of Pink, a podcast we launched together in October 2026. Through honest, sometimes emotional and often surprisingly funny conversations, we invite women and men to share their experiences in their own words.

Every breast cancer warrior has her or his own story. Every shade of pink is different.

We don't believe there's one way to experience breast cancer, and we certainly don't believe there's one way to talk about it.
